Hey Richard, I've just seen every youtube version of Kyrie and I can't wait to hear you perform it live in Northern California. Will that happen? Not sure what to be looking for, you touring as yourself or joining as a guest performer with who knows....

Hey Richard,

I love your music!

There's video on YouTube of Tim Pierce playing guitar on some of your tracks. It starts out with a song with the lyric "Two roads and four headlights". I love the snippets in that video and the song has been stuck in my head for months. Have you released that track or are you planning to do so?

Thanks in advance,

I've been "rediscovering" lots of music lately - Richard Marx, Rick Springfield, Andy Gibb. Your name came up for both Andy and Rick - can you comment on working with these gentlemen? I am now also reminded of how beautiful your voice is. There's SO much music I need to catch up on!

Mute? I don't believe you've reached the ripe old age at which you've lost the power of speech, much less the ability to type! Seriously, how have you been? Hope the family is well...and pleez give us an update as to what new records or projects you're working on...

"I Wear The Face" has been and will always be one of the greatest albums of a generation. I've owned the album since '83, I was a Mr. Mister fan before "Kyrie" or "Broken Wings" though both songs were a great commercial success, I don't judge a band, their music or albums by commercial success. "I Wear The Face" will always be a masterpiece to me!

Dear Richard
Forever i stand grateful for "Kyrie Eleison" a song that changed the course of my life forever

On the late evening hours(11th hour) May 14 1986 (I was only 15 years old) my life changed forever..near this little village of Holden in central Alberta.

What started out on a lonely country road 2 miles west of Holden Alberta Canada on May 14 1986......I will forever thank and praise The Lord Jesus. This is my story, and how the story of "Kyrie" changed my life forever. And to all those others whose lives have been impacted by Kyrie. We thank you Lord Jesus for the great talents and gifts you instilled and gave to the music band members ( MR Mister 1985 ) incl lead singer Richard Page. I lift up to you Lord all those associated and involved in the making of this song!! Just as this song blessed me as described below..may it bless billions and billions more!!!

Like a lighting bolt from heaven this song "Kyrie" greatly impacted my life the very first time I heard it (not knowing anything about it). It happened on a lonely gravel country road(May 14 1986, I was 15 years old) between our farm and our "little town" of Holden Alberta Canada" while listening(with good headsets) to a radio station based out of Edmonton"Power 92.5 FM" at nighttime. Edmonton is 60 miles west from Holden on Highway 14 . Our farm is 3 miles west from Holden. "Kyrie" is very dear to my heart, and many times it takes me right back to that fateful night May 14 1986.About a minute and a half into the song (the volumn turned up full blast), I felt my body and mind starting to get weaken and break down. For about 15 minutes I was not able to walk for I lost all physical strength. Since at the young age of 7 years I personally suffered numerous anxiety attacks and nervous breakdowns and even attempted to end my life in October of 1985 but failed(Yikes).Today despite my personal hardships and setbacks, suicide is no longer an option. So after I lost all physical strength, I started to breakdown mentally as well. I instantly cried out to God to help me from falling, making my way towards the ditch and slowly sat down. I bitterly wept and cried out to God to heal me and to bring change to my mind and body. I did not know" Kyrie" from Adam & Eve..however I pleaded and thanked God for delivering it to me that night. The "spirit" of the song was very "strong" and its presence was very real and evident to me and it made me feel peaceful. The "spirit" of "Kyrie" stayed there with me, the whole time I sat alone in the ditch! Yes thats right... "Jesus" "Kyrie" and "me" in the ditch!! Nobody was going nowhere real fast! I asked the Lord for mercy and prayed to regain my ability to walk again. He did after what seemed like an eternity. I cried out when He answered my prayer I got up and returned back to the Hutterite Community where I was born and raised, having planned to go all the way into "Holden". So much for walking into Holden to get soft icecream at the diner on the highway intersection! ! Oops someone had other well laid out plans for me. There was great hope instilled into me that day. I do not know the full story behind this song. Someday I will! I know the whole song itself is essentially a prayer. As you go about your day sing along to this song for it will bring you peace, happiness, joy, and great hope for the future. As a person that is still suffering from anxiety disorders, mental breakdowns,(Yikes) "Kyrie"...has given me great hope for the future."Kyrie" did what it did for me! There was no more turning back at this point. The tides had turned, and someone else was in control of my life. That someone was "Jesus" Thank you Lord for your great Love.Walking back to farm(westbound) I remember feeling at peace. Even the thin crescent moon setting in the west seemed to be smiling down at me! Everything around me was very very calm and surreal and very peaceful!! So I end by saying may this song continue to bless and lift up in spirit and bring great joy to billions more upon this Earth.

Forever Grateful

I'd like to thank you. There are those that sing songs, those that create great lyrics and music, and those that do both. But there are few that come along that create memories. They translate those beautiful words and feelings into memories. They "speak" to you in ways that capture your life and feelings in a way like no other.

It was during some significant and life changing events that "Shelter Me" spoke to me. Yes, Shelter Me the song, but it was the whole album that lifted me when I was sad, and provided some strength. Shelter Me has been my favorite album since it came out.

Hearing your newer music simply confirms the ARTIST you are and the gifts that you possess.

Thank you Richard. Sincerely.

Richard, I have been a big fan from the Pages days till now. I even had the
thrill of meeting Steve George back in the 90's and had him sign some Pages CD's.
Two of my favorite compositions of yours are ("My old friend" and "I will be here for you") and I was wondering if you ever "demoed" those in any form for Pages or Al. I am dumbfounded that these gems have not been covered by other artists very much. Maybe a second volume of Rarities could include stuff like that if it exists, I'd love to hear the first incarnations!? I am a keyboard player and confessed David Foster freak and still love what he brought to tracks like these. Robbie B too! Back in the day I got to take the stage and play "Through the Fire" at a BMI event because David couldn't remember how to playit! That's when I met & played with Warren Weibe for the first time ... another story!
I was chatting with Bill Champlin a while back and had him recall the Dionne Warwick date
you and Steve did with him and Graydon ... we agreed that the backround vocal sound you all had has yet to be matched !!!!
Thanks for all the musical moments, Scott

Hello Richard,
Some years back a dear friend, with whom I co-wrote a number of songs, gave me a CD and said: listen to this, I think it is along your style. I read the name, Richard Page and it did not ring a bell. But when I listened to the record (Shelter me) it was obvious to me that I had arrived: at the best album I ever heard or possessed. An album that has since been my inspiration and guide line, the level of feeling and instrumentation I want to reach one day when i'm grown up. Unfortunately I am already 53 years old, so it might happen in the next life, but no matter. Having a goal is helpful, always. I have listened to it hundreds of times, I sing along every word and some days, when I am more emotional I cry like a baby. I feel a deep connection to your words and music, or probably rather to your soul. You are a very beautiful, fragile human being and I congratulate the world and myself of having you. I have also bought Peculiar life, which took me a bit of time to get into, but it has grown on me and is now on the same level, if not more than Shelter me. I just saw your unplugged, solo performance and I will buy that too, as it is even more revealing, no production or instrument hiding the direct path to your inner self. Thank you Richard for being who you are, not the super star of MM times, but today. If you ever come to Europe I'd love to hear you play and shake your hand. Reading some of the other posts here, that seems to be the effect you have on many people. I know that that kind of humility and depth don't come for free, you have to walk to many a dark valley... Glad you are around to share what you have in your life.
Warm regards and thank you for your music
Klaus from tiny Luxembourg
